How a bike shop in Manchester uses Distilo
~1.400 producten · ~2.600 bestellingen/mnd · webshop + winkel · 7 jr

Everyone bought once and vanished. Now I know who to nudge.

My bike shop got plenty of first orders, but almost no one came back for a second.

I thought things were fine because orders came in daily. Only late did I notice it was always new people.

How I got my file

In your webshop: Orders → Export → CSV. (Also a till? Ask your POS provider for a sales export.) It is just a file with my sales:

customeremailorder dateamount
J. Bakerjbaker@…14-03-2025€ 89,00
M. Fishermfisher@…02-02-2025€ 240,00
S. Youngsyoung@…20-09-2024€ 1.150,00

That is all I sent. No integration, no technical setup.

What I did at Distilo

Then I went to Distilo. Three steps:

  1. 1 I bought the Amostra for €40.
  2. 2 I uploaded the file I had just exported.
  3. 3 I typed in one sentence what I wanted to know: “who bought once and never returned?”
What I got back

A day later I got no raw numbers, but two things: a report that explains it in plain words, and the list itself.

distilo-report.pdf

Nearly 7 in 10 customers never came back after their first order.

A short message after the first purchase, at the right moment, brings a chunk of them back.

I messaged the one-time buyers with a small reason to come back for a second tune-up.

A few percent more second orders adds up fast across thousands of customers.

The Amostra costs €40 and gives you one PDF with three quick analyses on your real data (lapsing customers, your best customers, and what is often bought together). Subscribe within 30 days and the €40 becomes credit.

Try it for your own shop · €40

Send your sales list, we do the rest. Nothing technical.

Example based on a composite shop; persona and numbers are illustrative. The analysis itself is a real Distilo run on your own sales list.
